A Tale of Triumph: How a 17-Year-Old Cat Thrives Despite Cat Hyperthyroidism and Kidney Disease

A Tale of Triumph: How a 17-Year-Old Cat Thrives Despite Cat Hyperthyroidism and Kidney Disease

In February 2018, our beloved Mochi, a 14-year-old calico cat, received a life-changing diagnosis of cat hyperthyroidism coupled with early signs of kidney disease, common ailments among senior felines.

Mochi's story with us began as an older kitten who mysteriously appeared on our deck, coinciding with the adoption of two other kittens. Remarkably, she has outlived them all, proving her resilience and strength.

Upon consulting our vet, a thyroid medication was recommended. However, after researching its potential side effects, we decided against it, opting for a more natural approach.

Turning to the internet for solutions, a search for "homeopathy for cats" led us to Animal Wellness and their promising line of products, notably the "Kidney Health."

For the past two years, Mochi has been on Kidney Health. This routine has kept her weight stable, preserved her appetite, and allowed her to relish quiet moments with us on the sofa or brief outdoor escapades in the sunny deck or yard.

While Mochi maintains a feisty personality, particularly disliking our male cat Snooze, she leads a contented life. Despite her aversion to the drops, if she comprehended their positive impact, she’d undoubtedly express gratitude!

Now at age 17, Mochi holds the title of our longest-lived feline companion, defying all odds and showing no signs of slowing down.
